Marmalade and Jam Vol 2: Vintage Cola Advert Illustration

Inspired by the likes of Frank Frazetta, Vintage Soda Adverts and Pulp Sci-fi, here is an illustration I produced based on a fictional brand of cola within the world of Marmalade and Jam. A fictional world I have been building with personal projects.
This post contains my process including the incorporation of 3d tools in my workflow and two character designs that would serve as the main characters in the image.

As of the 7th of April 2025 the illustration was repainted to better reflect the skills and experience I have with Illustration

The logo of the soda brand itself was created by a friend based on a sketch I gave them.
Note – One of my biggest influences was the Jovan Sex Appeal cologne commercial which was based off of a painting by Frank Frazetta. I highly recommend you check it out. It’s a beautiful advert and had the right level of cheese I was looking for when designing this image.
